The MedPad Report Engine is a hardware and software system designed to allow rapid generation of soft copy and hard copy Obstetrical Ultrasound reports. The typical Ultrasonographer/Healthcare Professional spends over 1.25 hours each day generating the preliminary and final ultrasound reports that will ultimately end up in the patients charts. This system can recover that time and can generate a highly detailed “verbose” report in less than one (1) minute. A combination of wheel spinners, radio buttons, and pictograms, makes the construction of a 1st-3rd Trimester ultrasound report almost second nature. In addition, a finite style, with defined areas of data, makes the reports reproducible, and aids in the consistency of reporting.
We feel that the technologist or physician should not have to waist their mental energy on figuring out how to physically construct the report, but more so, that energy should be directed at the information they are trying to convey in the report.

Product Description
The MedPad Report Engine consists of all the hardware and Firmware components needed to run the MedPad application. The kit is designed to offer a low cost alternative to a Tablet, where a more powerful and versatile computer system is needed, but not much more space is allowed. The greatest benefit of the system is that it allows a large screen monitor to be used as the display device. This makes it ideal in situations where visualizing small screens is problematic. Because up to four (4) devices can be driven by the computer with the proper options, the user has a wealth of 3rd party hardware and software that can be implemented to get the most out of the Android operating system. In fact, even larger powered USB hubs can be utilized to have even more connection ability. An HDMI Splitter can be used to drive one or more external monitors, so the patient can see exactly what the Technologist sees on an enormous screen, without affecting the ultrasound scanner. Afterwards, the data can be off-loaded to a Flash Drive for remote Archiving.
